Authentic Leadership
We may think of leaders and leadership as being defined by a particular position within an organization or place in society. In RealTime Speaking, we define leadership in terms of authentic speaking and personal credibility. Authentic leaders are less concerned with what and how, but with who and where: who are we and where do we speak and act from? The quality of an authentic leader's conversation creates their credibility. Authentic leaders use the power of RealTime Speaking and the credibility of open, honest, transparent communication to inspire the people with whom they work.

As an authentic leader who understands the necessity of being credible in their speaking, you are required to show your audience that you are for real. They want to know this one thing above all else, and they want to know it up front, immediately, before they are even willing to listen to what you have to say. They want to know if you are a real human being who is going to speak the truth, who is going to speak with transparency and integrity, with authenticity and vulnerability. Are you for real?

They may not agree with your message or point of view. They may not be persuaded to do what you want them to do, but they will not even get to these considerations if they do not think you are for real.

Many positional leaders hide behind their title, their role, their place of organizational status and privilege. They speak from behind these masks and walls, and when they do, their true message and intentions, their motives and purpose, are as hidden as they are. Their speaking is a hiding. They do not tell the truth. And thus we have our daily dose of scandal, fraud, and corruption.

Authentic leaders learn to tell the truth, learn to create credibility through vulnerability and connection, learn to inspire trust through transparency. The result of speaking in this way is enormous, with dividends including loyalty, trust, and respect.

This coaching program is personalized to individuals or small teams and focuses on developing authentic leadership speaking capacities and capabilities.

This program can also be extended to include creating an organizational culture of authentic speaking, one in which people are called upon to speak the truth and work with all the creative and expressive fire and energy and passion they have within them.
