I recently read Robert's wonderful book Igniting the Soul at Work which deeply moved me. I was thrilled to discover that Robert now lives in Australia, so I immediately booked a coaching session with him. I had some questions for Robert with both profound and practical implications for my life. I must say at this point that I am not the easiest person to coach because, being a coach myself, I have "been there, done that, read the book, and bought the t-shirt." However, Robert rapidly brought to light the heart of the matter for me. Robert's style is warm, compassionate, generous in his sharing, direct and incredibly funny. Although I have always loved developing my own courses and training, public speaking was a step too far for me to take — or so I thought. I saw public speaking as delivering a written speech. After all, I've listened to many such speeches and have often zoned out after only a few minutes; in other words, I found most of them boring.
